State Policy Panel: One Size Doesn’t Fit All for State Storage Action

Adding to the already impressive map of state actions that took place in 2017, last year saw nine additional states take concrete steps toward removing barriers to energy storage deployment through legislative or regulatory action, with an additional 14 states engaging in robust discussions of storage in 2018. While there are some commonalities in state approaches adopted during 2018, each jurisdiction has its own unique method of implementation. Join ESA's state policy director and three commissioners from Michigan, New York, and Washington as we tease out the drivers and nuances of different state energy storage incentives, targets, goals, utility planning and procurement directives.
